Steve Danzinger

Before opening SB Home Renovations in 2009 Steve Danzinger spent the majority of his life preparing for this role. With a Grandfather and Father both in the industry it was natural for him to expand the entrepreneurial and building skill sets that had been ingrained in him throughout the years and forge his own path. Alongside his business partner, Brian McDonald, they offer Louisville over 50 years of combined construction knowledge. His vision for providing Louisville with a superior home renovation experience is accompanied by a team of hard working individuals who prioritize craftsmanship, honesty, and dependability.

Where can we find you outside of work: Relaxing at the lake or playing blackjack.

Favorite room to remodel: Any room with a unique feature.

Favorite food: Woody’s wings; Best wings in St. Pete Florida!

What is your hidden talent: I play a mean air guitar.

Coffee order: My own at home or a vanilla latte on special occasions.

Brian McDonald

Brian McDonald spent nearly ten years providing project management to the residential construction industry before he opened SB Home Renovations in 2009, alongside Steve Danzinger. Brian’s eagerness to connect with clients and his knack for managing tradesmen make him unstoppable in the field. He is an expert when it comes to building project timelines and resourcing sub contractors and materials, ensuring each project is completed with the highest quality standards.

Where can we find you outside of work: At a ball field or on Nolin lake.

Favorite room to remodel: I enjoy the challenge of room additions as they offer all aspects of construction.

Dream car: Late 60’s pick up truck.

Do you bleed red or blue: Is there any other team besides Kentucky?

Wallflower or life of the party: I generally fall asleep when at parties.

Pets: Golden doodle named Scout.

Favorite life memory: Cheering alongside my oldest daughter while my wife carried our triplets is an experience only a few can say they have had and what can I say, I am a lucky guy!

Casey Ernst

Casey Ernst has worked for over 10 years with SB Home Renovations guiding all homeowners through the selection process. Her extensive experience working with project managers, contractors, and vendors have developed her expertise in successfully designing and renovating spaces while staying true to each clients budget and timeline.

What can we find you doing outside of work: Taking day trips with my husband on our Harley, tackling projects around our farm, or finding new restaurants to try.

Favorite room to remodel: Kitchens, where all the action takes place!

Will we find you in the sun or the snow: You will find me wherever there is water. Whether it be alongside a snowy creek, on the beach, or in the lake. 

Dream car: My Dad instilled in me his love for Corvettes so I’ll take a 72’ please.

Pets: Four horses and a boxer named Milly

Favorite life memory: Hands down the two days that my children came into the world. Experiencing that is life changing! 

Paul Robertson

Joining the team in 2014, Paul Robertson is versed in every aspect and trade involved in the remodeling process. His openness to think outside of the box and eagerness to try new trends keeps all projects on track for success and destined to be the talk of the neighborhood. Paul has an eye for detail and the problem solving nature to keep projects moving from the time demo begins to the final punch out.

What can we find you doing outside of work: If I am not traveling the world, you can find me with my nose in a book, listening to some vinyl records, or taking my dog on an adventure.

Favorite room to remodel: Kitchens and bathrooms, those are where we spend a vast majority of our lives and we are able to create a very Zen place for you to share time with your family.

Dream car/truck: A pretty red Ferrari 458

Books or movies: I prefer books as I fall asleep during most movies and always have to go back and rewatch. When I fall asleep in a book I just have to pick back up where I left off. 

Will we find you in the sun or snow: Depends on how I’m feeling but I love a great beach or fresh pile of snow. Favorite beach might be Phi Phi beach in Thailand and favorite snow mountain is any in the Rockies. 

Wallflower or life of the party: I’m usually the life! I love to cook and listen to good music so usually bring both to the party. 

Pets: I have a Presa Canary Mastiff named Hela and two horses, Roxy and Hannah.

Haley Jones

Haley Jones greets all new clients with her warmth and positivity. Being a Louisville native she is equipped with a rich background in all things Kentuckiana and is a huge asset to the SB Home Renovations family. Whether she is scheduling your estimate or ensuring that all service items are buttoned up there is no doubt you are in good hands from start to finish.

Pets: I have a husky named Moose.

Travis Whitenack

Travis Whitenack joins the SB Home Renovations project management team with 20+ years of exterior construction experience and a background in visual arts. Having spent thousands of hours on many homes in the Louisville area it would be hard to find a project request that Travis hasn’t encountered and successfully executed. He navigates the complexity of a project using his calm demeanor and strong attention to detail, delivering the most enjoyable client experience.

Where can we find you outside of work: Enjoying time with the wife and son. If I am not on a field coaching baseball or soccer you can find me fishing or hunting.



Favorite room to remodel: Although not a room my favorites are the outdoor spaces. Decks, fireplaces, etc.

Do you bleed red or blue: Red until I’m dead!

Hidden talent: Wouldn’t be a hidden talent if I told you.

Pets: Zoey an Aussie and Raven a black lab/blue heeler mix

Current podcast: Cardinals sport zone

Favorite life memory: Life has so many memories it is hard to pick one but I try to make new ones often because one day that is all we will have of each other.
